The Haworth and Oxenhope District Bridleways Group (HODBG ) is dedicated to keeping the local rights of way open
and working towards a better network of safe, off road, riding routes for everyone to enjoy.
Routes under our care include all bridleways in Keighley, Oakworth, Haworth, Oxenhope, Denholme and Cullingworth.

Information sharing
As a group we are in regular contact with each other and help maintain and manage our local bridleways.
Our group communicates through:
Our social monthly meetings give us the chance to get together, welcome new members and discuss matters that are important to us.
At these meetings we also organise guest speakers, as well as Bring & Buy Sales, Quiz Nights & Social Group Outings
Just horsing around!
Our bridleways are our main concern, but we also do many other things which will interest anyone keen on horses, whether they are a rider or not, such as:
With an annual HODBG social round-up of Prize Giving, Fun & Dance
We also have a thriving Junior Section which has shows, gymkhanas, trips plus their own monthly meetings
Come along and join in! |

Organised Pleasure Rides
We hold rides from April to October every year.
These rides showcase the best of our bridleway network
covering beautiful areas throughout Bronte Country and beyond. (Often experiencing routes over land not normally open for public access)
Look at our Pleasure Rides link to find out when our next ride is and please come and support us.
All riders are provided with detailed directions and a map and an escort can be provided if necessary.
We also have a Ride for Miles where we award special rosettes to riders with the most miles under their hooves.
Dressage Competitons
Due to popular demand we hold an annual Dressage League.
We hold four competitions throughout the year and points are awarded for attendance and placings.
The first and second prizewinners are awarded trophies at our annual presentation night.
The competitions are open to all non-affiliated horses and riders and are ideal for all ages with a special 'Fledglings' class for under elevens.
HODBG Hunter Trial
Every year we hold a Hunter Trial in May.
Our venue is Craven Country Ride in Coniston Cold near Skipton.
We have a novice course ideally suited to children and beginners at a maximum height of 2' and an open course for the more experience riders at a maximum height of 2'9".
See our Hunter Trial page for more details of this year's event.
Annual Show
Every year we hold an annual show for all our memebers. This year our show is at the Airevalley Show Ground on 31st May.
