Subs are due now for 2008. If you have a sticky label at the top of this newsletter, then you have not renewed your subs. We hope you will be rejoining. There is a membership form included in the newsletter. Prices remain the same as last year:-

Unfortunately, this is the last newsletter you will receive unless you do renew your subs.
The public inquiry was held at the Town Hall in Keighley about track 206 which runs from near the Lamb in Oxenhope over the moor to Sawood. Unfortunately, the Inspector decided in the favour of the landowner, and so this track will be downgraded to footpath. I suppose what we’ve never had, we’ll never miss.
If anyone is riding down Pitcher Clough at Oldfield and find a tractor in the way near the farm, Mr Ibbotson doesn’t mind if people ride round the edge of his field. (but treat it like you would your own please)

Ride charges(except for the Xmas ride) are:- adults £2, juniors £1, non-members £4
(this includes £2 for membership for the day so that riders are covered by our insurance.
We always organise Jack’s Xmas Ride in aid of RDA, and this year we sent a cheque for £25 to Jackie Butterfield’s Vale Mill Lane branch.
We haven’t had much luck with the monthly speakers so far this year, as both the January and February speakers cancelled at short notice due to illness and staffing problems. However Robin Earnshaw stepped in and gave us an extremely interesting talk and slide show about our horses teeth in January, and we organised a quiz for the February meeting which was won by Hilary Bailey, Hilary Barber, Gill Hill, Wendy Wilkinson and Susan Dunne’s team.
In March Miles & Liz Greenwood gave a very interesting and informative talk on how we can improve our pastures ourselves, and also the procedures and equipment which he can use to harrow, fertilise, spray weeds, poo pick etc. Limited access no problem. We would also like to thank Margaret Howley for the use of her arena for the Junior show at Easter.
