*****  Classes 16 & 18  are open to all, but only VHS members will qualify for the Regional Championships. 

 

****** Classes 19, & 20 are qualifiers for the Veteran Horse Society Summer Championship at Arena UK on 9th/10th August the highest placed equines 15yrs and over in each class will qualify.  Open to members and non-members of the VHS. 

These 4 classes will be conducted under Veteran Horse Society Rules.

RULES OF THE SHOW

 

1          The organisers accept no responsibility for any loss, injury or damage to any person property or animal whatsoever. All competitors, spectators and organisers attend the show at their own risk.

2          The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry or amend or cancel the schedule at their sole discretion.

3          Entry fees are non-refundable, except due to cancellation of the event or the production of a Vet’s Certificate.

4          Hard hats to B/S. and correct footwear to be worn at all times when mounted. No spurs to be worn by juniors or in VHS qualifying classes.

5.         Horses, ponies and dogs to be kept under control so as not to cause a hazard to anyone on the showground.

6.         All stallions and colts to be bitted at all times whilst on the showground

7          No horse or pony under 4 years to be ridden in any class.

8          Any rider seen cantering or galloping outside of the rings will be asked to leave the ground, forfeiting any entry fees paid.

9          The organisers recommend body protectors be worn for all jumping classes.

10         Juniors to be 16 or under - Age of entrants as on show day.

11         The judge’s decision is FINAL. Objections to be lodged with the show secretary with a £10.00 fee, returnable if upheld.

CLASSES ARE LIMITED TO A MAXIMUM OF 20 ENTRANTS

 

VHS RULES APPLICABLE TO CLASSES 16, 18, 19, 20

 

1.  No foals at foot permitted

2.  No spurs to be worn in ridden classes.

3.  No galloping

4.  No earrings to be worn

 

VHS MEMBERS MUST CARRY THEIR MEMBERSHIP AND HORSE REGISTRATION CARDS AND SHOW THEM TO THE STEWARD ON ENTERING THE RING.  QUALFICATION CARDS MUST BE SIGNED ON THE DAY BY THE SHOW SECRETARY. RIDERS MUST HAVE BEEN MEMBERS OF VHS FOR 14 DAYS PRIOR TO THE SHOW TO QUALIFY FOR REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
